Behind our Pakihi ♥

We’re a whānau-led pakihi, rooted in Aotearoa, guided by our whakapapa, and creating thoughtful, everyday pieces inspired by Te Ao Māori.

Our tūpuna whakapapa traces back to the Tainui waka, through Ngāti Maniapoto and Ngāti Hauā, and reaches up north to Ngāpuhi and Te Aupōuri. These connections to whenua, iwi, and whānau shape everything we do, from the designs we create to the values we hold close.

What began as a simple idea—to blend culture, comfort, and connection, has grown into something much bigger than us. Every design is made with aroha, shaped by our stories, our tamariki, and the wisdom of our tūpuna. We’re here to celebrate identity, nurture belonging, and bring a little piece of home into every whare.

At the heart of our pakihi is a belief in whakapapa—the connection between past, present, and future. Every stitch, every pattern, tells a story that is both ours and yours. Our kākahu is inspired by the whenua, moana, and the Māori traditions that have shaped us.

We’ve poured our hearts into creating something meaningful. Something that feels like a warm awhi for those who wear it. We aim to uplift and support our community, honouring the essence of whanaungatanga, the relationships and connections that bind us all together.
